Security cameras

Eyes on the lot after close.

Cameras on the frontage, the back lot, the service drive and key control, wired properly and recording when you need the footage.

What security cameras does a car dealership need?

Most dealerships need cameras covering the frontage and display lot, the back lot and inventory storage, the service drive and write-up lane, the key control area, and every entrance. Lot lighting matters as much as the cameras, because footage is only as useful as what the camera can see at night.

Coverage

Where the cameras go.

Frontage and display lot

Wide views of the front row and the entrances from the road.

Back lot and storage

Inventory, trade-ins and the gates, recorded through the night.

Service drive

Every vehicle that comes in, with its condition on camera at write-up.

Key control and cashier

The key machine, the cashier's window and the parts counter.

Recording and phone viewing

A recorder sized to keep the footage you need, viewable from your phone.

Lighting for night footage

Cameras only see what's lit. See lot lighting.

How it works

From site walk to footage on your phone.

  1. Site walk

We walk the store and lot with your GM, day and night, and look at what you have.

  2. Coverage plan

Camera locations, views and recording time, with a price for each option.

  3. Installation

Poles, conduit and cabling, done around business hours.

  4. Handover

Phone app set up for your managers, and a walk-through of the recorder.

Questions

Camera questions.

Can we see the cameras from our phones?

Yes. We set up remote viewing so your GM and managers can check the lot from their phones, with access you control.

Can you add cameras to our existing system?

Often, yes. We check what you have, reuse what works and replace what doesn't.

How long is camera footage kept?

That depends on the recorder's storage, the number of cameras and the recording quality. We size the recorder to keep the footage you want, often 30 days or more.
